Home Lifters of SWFL

At Home Lifters of SWFL, our mission is to provide top-quality home elevation services so your home stays safe from any floods to come.  Started in the Brookside neighborhood of Naples, FL after the devastation of Hurricane Ian, we are driven to provide real solutions to the recurring storm surge problem of Southwest Florida where other home elevation companies have fallen short.

The Finished Product: Unlimited Possibilities

Some Things You Might Be Wondering

How Do You Lift A House?

As we excavate out the slab of your home and dig tunnels to the less accessible areas, we place jacks that connect to our specialized hydraulic lifting system. Once in place, the jacks lift a few inches at a time as we place temporary supports that will hold the house up firmly while we place the permanent support structure... long story short, of course.

How Long Does it Take?

This active construction phase takes 2-3 months, which is the only time you'd need to be out of your home.  The engineering, planning, and permitting phase takes longer, usually 4-5 months.

What About My Utilities?

Plumbing and electric get disconnected immediately before we start and reconnected as soon as we are done lifting.  This is part of what we do and included in your quote, unlike most other structural elevation companies.

What Does Lifting A House Cost?

The size and shape of the house as well as the condition of the foundation can affect the total cost of the project.  There are many ways to finish your home, such as a wrap-around patio or deck, converting a garage to living space once it is elevated, or installing garage doors on your new ground floor.

We will work with you to evaluate your needs and provide a comprehensive estimate. But on average, the cost to lift up and refinish is less than one-third the cost to tear down and rebuild your home to code.

Are Any Grants Available To Pay For Elevation?

We would encourage you to pursue Elevate Florida if you have not already.  However, it is a very popular program that has more applicants than it has been able to handle.  SBA offers low-interest loans for disaster recovery victims at https://lending.sba.gov/ and it's important to keep any paperwork sent to you by your local government stating that your property has been damaged by flooding.  This paperwork will be critical to your application process.
